Adaptive Devices For Arthritis Of The Hands

Arthritis is a disease that attacks the tissues of the joints. Symptoms of hand arthritis may include pain, swelling, stiffness and deformity. The condition develops due to wear and tear of the joint. When the joints are affected by arthritis, activities of daily living can be difficult.

 

Assistive devices also commonly known as assistive technology, adapted equipment, or assistive technology is a piece of equipment that is used to help increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of individuals. The goal of assistive devices is to protect the joints from stress.
