Bursitis

Bursitis occurs when there is inflammation of the fluid-filled sacs (bursae). Bursae cushions the bones, tendons and muscles near your joints. Four common locations for bursitis to occur are in your elbows, shoulders, hips and knees. These joints are at a higher risk of bursitis due to frequent repetitive movements. If bursitis is treated properly pain will subside after a few weeks. It is important to exercise and rest the affected area because flare ups are common.
