Physical Therapy for High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure is also known as HBD or hypertension. Blood pressure is the pressure of blood pushing against the walls of your arteries. High blood pressure is a condition when the blood against your artery walls is higher than normal. If you have high blood pressure you are at a greater risk for other health problems.

Symptoms of high blood pressure, may include:

Causes of high blood pressure are unknown but the following may play a role:

The most effective way to lower your blood pressure is by making a change in your lifestyle. High blood pressure can be controlled with exercise and a proper diet. Exercise plays a big role because it improves your cardiovascular system. Physical activity helps make your heart stronger. A stronger heart uses less energy to pump blood throughout the body. By using less energy there will be less force on the arteries helping lower your blood pressure.

Physical therapy can help keep you motivated and healthy. At Reddy Care Physical, Occupational and Aquatic Therapy, a physical therapist will evaluate you and help design a unique treatment plan tailored for your specific needs. The longer you wait the more your body will suffer down the road. Call our team today to get started!
