Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy For Ankle Conditions

Home activities that can help ankle conditions include rest from the activities that cause discomfort, application of heat and ice, stretching and strengthening of the affected muscle groups. Other treatments may include steroid injections, ergonomic adjustments, physical therapy and occupational therapy.

Physical therapy (PT) and occupational therapy (OT) may help to regain strength in the ankle, increase flexibility, or help to relearn activities like walking. Physical and occupational therapy may help ankle conditions such as ankle sprains, ankle impingement, osteoarthritis of the ankle and chronic ankle instability. PT and OT help to restore movement and mobility to help you get back to your daily activities.

Your physical therapist and/or occupational therapist at Reddy Care will evaluate your symptoms and create a unique treatment plan tailored for your specific needs. Your treatment plan may include muscle strengthening exercises, stretching exercises, range of motion exercises, balance training, and weight bearing activities.
