Reddy Care Post Covid-19 Rehabilitation Protocol

Post-Covid rehabilitation with physical therapy

Our patients receive individualized treatment provided by compassionate and competent therapists.

Special consideration is placed on the residual effects of COVID -19.   Pulmonary function, as well as any pain or discomfort is addressed as needed.

Treatment may take place in the home or in one of our clinics.
Each session will include vital signs monitoring; BP, HR, O2 Sat, Body Temp and Respirations.

Our team approach consists of 4 components (phases):

  1. OT home assessment and training for safety and equipment

  1. ADL assessment and treatment to improve basic self care, energy conservation, functional balance and transfers to tub, toilet, bed and car.

  1. PT evaluation and treatment for pulmonary deficits, endurance and mobility training  with a device as needed. Pulmonary rehab includes retraining of breathing patterns, breathing exercises and education.  PT also uses techniques to reduce pain, increase ROM, improve endurance and strength and facilitate function.

The home patient can transition to one of our state of the art clinics where the patients can use our Alter G, Solo step, bikes and other equipment.

  1. Return to independence at home, community and workplace.
