Why is Shoulder Rehabilitation Important?

Your shoulder is the most flexible joint in your body. You use your shoulders everyday for movement and daily activities. Your shoulder relies on tendons, muscles and bones to function properly making your shoulder more vulnerable to instability and injury.

Shoulder rehabilitation is a treatment that you recieve after a shoulder injury or surgery. Shoulder rehab can help reduce pain and accelerate healing. Your treatment plan for shoulder rehabilitation may consist of targeted exercises and stretches to help gradually increase range of motion and strengthen your shoulder. Many exercises a physical therapist will assign to you will be passive and gentle, helping to heal the joint and prevent it from becoming stiff.
